Overview

Groups enable you to manage smaller, related subsets of your accounts, so you can handle any associated work flows more efficiently. For example, create a group based on an investment objective, such as growth. Groups are similar to clients in that they are a means of relating accounts to each other. However, they differ in that clients are targeted for individual relationships, whereas groups are targeted for broader analysis. Once you create a group, you can copy, edit, and possibly delete it.

An account or a client can be a member of one or more groups. Groups can be multi-custodial, meaning they can contain accounts held at Fidelity, as well as accounts held away.

Search for your authorized groups. Different lists of your authorized groups are available. The availability of a list depends on your entitlements and how you chose to customize the Group Search window. (Customize the Window)

  • Recent
Groups you have viewed during the current session. This link is disabled if you have not viewed groups during the session.

  • All
All groups within your firm to which you are authorized. This list appears only if you customize the window to show All Groups.

  • My Groups
All groups created under your user ID. This list appears only if you customize the window to show My Groups.

  • Results
Most recent set of search results for the current session. This link appears after you perform a search. When you leave the window and then return, the results of your last search still populate the window.
