Looking Up an Account

NOTE:

The Initiate Service Request pop-up displays the account number currently in context in the upper left portion of the screen. You can use this account for your request or follow the steps below to select another.

  1. If you wish to use a different account than the one currently in context, you can do either of the following:
    • If you already know the account for which you want to initiate a service request, you can bypass the lookup process. Enter the valid account number in the Change Acct # field and click the Go button. Since you made your account number selection, you can exit the lookup process at this point.
    • OR
    • If you do not know the account number, you can perform a search by clicking the Acct Lookup/Add Multiple link. Proceed to the next step in the lookup process.
  2. Use the search section of the Account Lookup/Add Multiple Accounts screen to locate a specific account or group of accounts. You can Search by Account #, Short Name, or SSN/TIN. Enter the search criteria in the associated field and click the Search button.
  3. Accounts matching the criteria you established display in the Search Results area of the screen. You can choose one account or multiple accounts (up to ten) to include in the service request. To choose an account or accounts from the list of search results, click the checkbox associated with the desired account(s) and then click the Add to Selected Accounts button. NOTE: Click the checkbox at the top of the column to choose all accounts in the list.
  4. The accounts you chose display in the Selected Accounts section. Review the entries. If you wish to make any changes to your choices, click the associated Remove link in the Action column to eliminate an account from the list or click the Remove all Selected Accounts link to clear or remove all accounts listed in the Selected Accounts section.
  5. Once you finalize the contents of your list, click the Use Selected Accounts button return to Initiate Service Request screen to continue with the initiation process.

    NOTE: If you selected one account, the associated account number displays in the top left portion of the Initiate Service Request screen. If you chose more than one account, (X) Accounts Selected displays, where X reflects the number of selected accounts; click the downward facing caret to display a small pop-up listing the account numbers and then click the X icon to close the pop-up.
