NOTE:
- The default sorting of the Search Results list is in ascending order according to Account Number.
- You can sort the Search Results according to Account Number, Short Name, or Registration by selecting the respective column heading.
- The caret at the top of a column indicates the sorting criteria used and whether it is in ascending or descending order.
- A maximum of 50 results can display as a result of an account search. If your search returns more than 50 results, you receive an error message.
The Initiate Service Request screen displays the account number currently in context at the top of the window. You can use this account for your request or follow the steps below to select another or to select multiple accounts. If no account is in context, then you must select an account or accounts to continue.
- If you wish select an account in context or to use a different account or accounts, you can do either of the following:
If you already know the account for which you want to initiate a Service Request, you can bypass the lookup process by entering the valid account number in the Change Account Number field and then selecting the Apply button.
OR
If you do not know the account number, you can perform a search by selecting the Add Accounts link. Proceed to the next step in the lookup process.
- Use the search section of the Add Accounts screen to locate a specific account or group of accounts. Choose one of the entries in the Search By drop-down list (Account #, Short Name, or SSN/TIN), enter the associated criteria in the text field, and then select the Search button.
- Accounts matching the criteria you established display in the Search Results area of the screen. You can choose one account or multiple accounts (up to ten) to include in the Service Request. To choose an account or accounts from
the list of search results, select the checkbox associated with the desired account(s) and then select the Add button. Selecting the checkbox in the header chooses all accounts in the list.
- The accounts you chose display in the Selected Accounts section. Review the entries. If you wish to make any changes to your choices, select the associated checkbox and then select the Remove button to eliminate an account from the list.
- Once you finalize the contents of your list, select the Apply button to return to the Initiate Service Request window to continue with the initiation process.
NOTE: If you selected one account, the associated account number displays in the top portion of the Initiate Service Request window. If you chose more than one account, Accounts(N) displays, where N reflects the number of selected accounts; select the right-facing arrow to displays the list of selected accounts.
