Receive proactive notifications for processing events or conditions. This notification is referred to as an "alert." Alerts are delivered throughout the day. While some alerts are immediate, other alerts are compiled and sent according to specific schedules or status updates. Alert activities take place on Alert Manager.
Also subscribe to alerts related to Service Request and Service Message status changes and respond to these notifications. These alert subscriptions are available in both the subcategory level and the individual item level.
Alerts are grouped in a four-level hierarchy:
- 1 Class
- 2 Super Category
- 3 Category
- 4 Subcategory
Alert Manager displays current alerts, up to 250 per page. The default display is All Alerts.
Sorting
Select a column heading to toggle between ascending and descending order. The sorting method of the grid is indicated by an arrow in the selected column heading. Sorting is maintained only for your current Alert Manager session.
Select Reports & Alerts > Alerts > Alert Manager.
Note
When first opening Alert Manager, an Alert Subscription Agreement displays and your acceptance is required to continue.
Go to:
Navigate Alerts
Open Alerts
Use the navigation bar in the left panel of Alert Manager to view and manage your alerts and subscriptions.
View the contents of an alert in the Current, Unread, or Past Alerts grid. The contents of an alert message differ based on the underlying alert. A message includes details for only those accounts to which you are authorized.
Note
You may open only one alert at a time.
Select the alert.
A preview pane displays below the grid.
In the message, where applicable:
To view Account Positions for a listed account, select the account number.
To display workflow information or the definition of selected terms, select the appropriate link.
To print the alert message, select the Print icon.
Search Current, Unread, and Past Alerts to locate specific values within the alert messages. Choose a search based on the number of parameters you want to specify. Results include only alerts satisfying all the chosen criteria. Remove your search selections at any time by selecting Clear.
From the Find drop-down list, select a search parameter:
Account Number
Account Owner
Account Source
Check Amount
CUSIP
Custom Short Name
Date (Default)
Expected Post Date - TOA
FBSI Short Name
Fidelity Short Name
Item Number
Product Class
Symbol
Transaction Amount - dollars
Transaction Amount - shares
Specify the value to search by based on your parameter choice. For example:
If you selected Date, in the From and To calendar boxes, enter the date range. (The date range default is set to the current day and the past three business days.)
Note
Search for item-level alerts by choosing the Item Number parameter. The search is based on the date the alert is triggered, not the service item creation date.
Specify conditions and values for each chosen parameter.
- To delete a parameter, select its Remove link.
The columns you choose to display in the grid are persistent, meaning they are maintained upon exit.
Select Apply.
Note
To set customizations back to the original system settings, select Reset columns back to default.
