Overview

From Orders Unsent, build Market Day block orders in bulk (up to 150) for a particular security, order action (buy/sell), and block account when over allocated. Over allocation occurs when the share quantity of the sent and/or unsent allocations is greater than the share quantity of the sent and/or unsent blocks.

Eligible orders include equities (domestic and international) and options. Fixed income and currency allocations are not eligible. Eligible order actions include:

Note
Allocations with errors and user-defined trade restrictions (indicated by an "R" icon) are included when building blocks. Allocations not assigned to a block account are bypassed when building blocks.

Build Blocks

On the Blocks and Allocations window, above the table, the number of orders displays:

Select a column header to sort the list or orders. Drag and drop columns on the window to a different arrangement. However, this reordering is not saved when you sign out.

  1. On the Dashboard, select Allocations All or Allocations Error.

  2. Select Build Blocks.

    The proposed block orders display. If there is more than one block account number for a particular security and action, each block order is listed. If no allocations meet the Build Block criteria, a message displays.

  3. In the left most column, select the check box of each block order to include in your block.
  4. Select Build & Save Blocks.

    Block orders display on the Orders Unsent window where you can edit the orders before sending them to Fidelity.

Field Definitions

Field Definition
Action The type of buy or sell allocation.
Block Account The block account number to which the allocation is assigned.
CUSIP The number issued by CUSIP for the corresponding security involved in the allocation.
Quantity The number of shares or contracts specified in the allocation.
Quantity Type The frame of reference for the contents of the Quantity field; either Shares or Contracts.
Restrictions A "R" icon displays if a user-defined restriction is imposed on the security or account.
Symbol The symbol of the security associated with the allocation.
