Add, remove, or view securities and accounts, clients, or groups in an equivalence.
Equivalences are implemented at the user level. Therefore, when you create an equivalence, it impacts all accounts within the client or group assigned to the equivalence to which you have access. Household rebalances utilize client-level equivalences only.
Workplace Investing 403(b)/401(k) accounts are not eligible for equivalences.
Prevent an order from being generated for a security contained in the model whose characteristics are represented adequately by a security already held in a particular account.
Select Trade > Trading Tools > Portfolio Modeling & Rebalancing.
In the top navigation bar, select Equivalences.
Above the equivalence list, select Create New.
Enter an Equivalence Name.
If entitled, choose an Access Type.
Public Unlimited access
Private Limited to you or a member of your firm
In the Add Security field, enter a CUSIP or symbol and select the Magnifying Glass icon.
- Repeat until at least 2 securities are added.
- To delete a security, in the last column, select Remove.
Select Continue.
If the equivalence name entered already exists, a message prompts you to enter a unique name.
Search for an account, client, or group.
Check boxes in the first column are selected by default indicating these will be assigned to the equivalence. To remove an account, client, or group, clear its check box.
- To view or hide accounts, select the Expand All or Collapse All links.
View information about an equivalence, including the created user and date, the edited user and date, access, securities, and the assigned accounts, clients, and groups.
You can also delete an equivalence on this window.
From the Equivalence List in the Name column, select the equivalence.
- The Details window displays.
To delete the equivalence, in the bottom right corner, select Delete.
- A warning prompts you to confirm the deletion.
- Select Ok.
Modify the details of an equivalence, including name, access, securities, and assigned accounts, clients, and groups.
From Equivalence Details, select Edit.
Refer to steps 4-10 of create an equivalence to update the details.
From the Equivalence List in the first column, select the check box for the equivalence.
In the bottom left of the table, select Delete.
- A warning prompts you to confirm the deletion.
