Trade Blotter Report


Overview

NOTE:

The Trade Blotter Report shows all orders in the Sent and Unsent Lists. There is one record for each trade, allocation, and execution and separate tabs for each Order Type: Equities, Mutual Funds, Options, Fixed Income, International Equity, Currency Exchange, Block Orders, Allocations, Block Order Execution Details, Trade Aways, and Executions (Non-Block Order Trades). If you subscribe to the Trade Blotter Report, it is generated on a daily basis at the time specified in the Schedule Daily at drop-down list. When the report is available, the Report Name, Daily Trade Blotter CSV, displays as a link on the Main Reports screen. Select this link to view the contents in CSV format in a separate window. Also, you can choose to download the report automatically to a directory or folder of your choice.

Subscribing to the Trade Blotter Report

NOTE: Select the Cancel and return to Completed Reports link at any time to exit this screen without saving any changes you may have made and display the Main Reports screen.

  1. Select Reports & Alerts > Reports > Legacy Reports. The Main Reports screen displays.
  2. If the section is not already expanded, select the plus icon in front of the Trade Reports entry in the Table of Contents to display the list of reports available to you. NOTE: The icon changes to a minus.
  3. Select the Trade Blotter link to display its parameters in the Report Parameters section of the screen. NOTE: The Report Name, Generate Report for, Style, and Report Output parameter selections are predetermined and you cannot edit them.
  4. Specify how the orders in the report are sorted by making your selection for the Sort By criterion.
  5. If you wish to subscribe to the report, select the Subscribed radio button. NOTE: This action enables the Schedule Daily at drop-down list and the automatic download settings.
  6. If you choose to subscribe to the report, use the Schedule Daily at drop-down list to select the time you want the report to run; options are 5:00 PM ET (the default), 6:00 PM ET, 7:00 PM ET, 8:00 PM ET, and 9:00 PM ET.
  7. Also, if you subscribe to the report, you may choose to download the report automatically to a designated folder in addition to its being available on the Main Reports screen.
  8. When all settings are established, select the Save button.

Scheduling the Automatic Download of the Trade Blotter Report

NOTE:

If you subscribe to the Trade Blotter Report, you can choose to download the report automatically to a directory of your choice. The Profiler service makes the first check for the report approximately ten (10) minutes after the time specified by the Schedule Daily At drop-down list. If the report is not available at that time, the service continues to poll for the report up to 11:00 PM Eastern time at five (5) minute intervals, regardless of the specified generation time, before abandoning the process. If the report is not generated in this timeframe, you must download the report manually from the Completed Reports List on the Main Reports Screen when it is available.

  1. Select the Automatically Download Report checkbox to select the automatically download the report to a designated folder.
  2. Enter the path to the desired folder in the Download Directory text field.

Changing the Report Parameters

NOTE: Select the Cancel and return to Completed Reports link at any time to exit this screen without saving any changes you may have made and display the Main Reports screen.

If you wish, you can change the established parameter settings for the Trade Blotter Report.

  1. Select Reports & Alerts > Reports > Legacy Reports. The Main Reports screen displays.
  2. If the section is not already expanded, select the plus icon in front of the Trade Reports entry in the Table of Contents to display the list of reports available to you. NOTE: The icon changes to a minus.
  3. Select the Trade Blotter link to display its parameters in the Report Parameters section of the screen.
  4. If you wish to unsubscribe to the Trade Blotter Report, select the Unsubscribe radio button and then select the Save button. NOTE: The unsubscription process occurs in real time; any pending reports are cancelled and the automatic download feature is disabled.
  5. If you subscribe to the report and wish to change the download directory, sorting criterion, or time that the Trade Blotter Report runs, you can make the desired changes to the settings and select the Save button. A pop-up warning screen displays prompting you that saving the new parameters will overwrite the existing settings.
    Select the Cancel button to close the pop-up, ignore any changes, and return to the Trade Blotter Report Parameters screen.
    OR

    Select the OK button to proceed with the changes to the settings. A Save Successful pop-up displays; select the OK button to close this verification screen and display the Main Reports screen.

Parameters

Parameter Definition
Automatically Download Report Specifies if the report is downloaded automatically. NOTE: This checkbox is associated with the Download Directory text field and enabled if the Subscribed radio button is selected.
Download Directory Specifies the directory or folder used for the automatic download of the report. NOTE: This field is associated with the Automatically Download Report checkbox and enabled if the Subscribed radio button is selected.
Generate Report for Specifies the orders included in the report. NOTE: This field defaults to All Orders and cannot be edited.
Report Name Specifies the name of the report. NOTE: This field defaults to Daily Trade Blotter CSV and cannot be edited.
Report Output Specifies the format in which the report will be created and viewed. NOTE: This field defaults to CSV and cannot be edited.
Schedule Daily at Specifies when the report is generated. The flexibility of selecting the report's schedule time enables you to collect late mutual fund pricing information. NOTE: This setting is enabled if the Subscribed radio button is selected. Options are 5:00 PM ET (the default), 6:00 PM ET, 7:00 PM ET, 8:00 PM ET, and 9:00 PM ET.
Sort By

Specifies how the orders are sorted within the report. NOTE: Selections are: Account Number, Custom Short Name, FBSI Short Name, and Order Date.

Style Specifies the type of trade report you wish to run. NOTE: This field defaults to Order Ticket and cannot be edited.
Subscription Status Specifies whether you are Subscribed or Unsubscribed to the report. NOTE: The setting works in conjunction with the Schedule Daily at drop-down list.
