Model Detail Report


Overview

NOTE: The ability to create and manage Workplace Investing and Asset Class Models is entitled.

The Model Detail Report displays the criteria of a selected Individual, Composite, Asset Class, or Workplace Investing Model. The banner at the top of the report contains the name of the individual who ran the report (Created By), and the As Of information date (MMM-DD-YYYY) and time (HH:MM EST) it ran. See the sections below for information on the report details based on Model Type.

Viewing the Model Detail Report

  1. Select Trade > Trading Tools > Portfolio Modeling & Rebalancing to launch Modeling & Rebalancing.
  2. Select Reports > Model Details. The Model Details Tab on the Reports screen displays.
  3. Using the drop-down list, select the frame of reference for the associated text field or drop-down list; options are Created By, Model Name (the default), Target, or Type.
  4. Select the Magnifying Glass icon to display the Select a Model screen.
  5. If you selected Model Name, enter the model's name either in its entirety or in part (first few characters) into the text field.
    OR
    If you selected either Created By, enter the User ID of the creator either in its entirety or in part (first few numbers) into the text field.
    OR
    If you selected Target, select Percent or Shares from the drop-down list.
    OR
    If you selected Type, select Composite, Individual, Asset Class, or Workplace Investing from the drop-down list.
  6. A list of models matching your criteria displays. NOTE: If there are no matches, a No Records Found message displays above the list.
  7. Select a link in the Model Name column to close this screen and populate the Find a Model field with this choice.
  8. Select the Run Report button to generate the report for the selected model.

Individual, Composite, and Workplace Investing Model Detail Reports

The tables below list the information contained in the Individual, Composite, and Workplace Investing Model Detail Reports.

Model Detail

Field Description
Created By Displays the name and User ID of the user who created the model.
Created Date Displays the date the model was created in DD/MM/YYYY format.
Last Updated Displays the most recent model edit date in DD/MM/YYYY format (if applicable); otherwise <Blank>.
Min/Max Range Displays the % of Model Dollar Amount or Share Amount.
Model Description Displays the user-defined description of the model provided by the creator/editor (if available); otherwise displays --.
Model Name Specifies the user-defined name of the model provided by the creator/editor.
Model Plans Displays the name of the retirement plan(s) with which the funds are associated. NOTE: This information only displays for Workplace Investing Models.
Model Target Specifies whether it is a PCT (Percent) or SHR (Share) based model.
Model Type Specifies whether it is an Individual, Composite, or Workplace Investing model. NOTE: Reflects the Model Type setting.
Updated By Displays the name and User ID of the user who edited the model (if applicable); otherwise displays --.

Model Elements

NOTE: Model Elements (N) displays above the table. The number in the parentheses represents the number of elements (securities and models) included in the model.

Column Description
Description Displays the abbreviated name associated with the Security or the description of the Model.
Max Displays either the highest percent or the highest number of shares you do not want to go above (i.e., the upper threshold), for the listed Security or Model.
Min Displays either the lowest percent or the lowest number of shares you do not want to go below (i.e., the lower threshold), for the listed Security or Model.
Security/Model Displays the ID of the Security element or the name of the Model element included in the model.
Target Displays either the target percentage or the target number of shares of holdings of the total market value that you want to achieve for the listed Security or Model.

Asset Class Model Detail Report

The tables below list the information contained in the Asset Class Model Detail Report. NOTE: Creating and managing Asset Class models is entitled.

Model Detail

Field Description
Access Specifies the Access Type of the model, which is either Public (unlimited access) or Private (limited to you or a member of your firm). NOTE: This field is entitled and may not display for your firm.
Created Displays the date and time that the model was created, along with the name and User ID of the individual who created it.
Description Displays the user-defined description of the model provided by the creator/editor (if available); otherwise displays --.
Last Updated Displays the date and time that the model was most recently edited, along with the name and User ID of the individual who edited it (if applicable); otherwise displays --.
Model Name Specifies the user-defined name of the model provided by the creator/editor.
Model Type Specifies the Model Type, which is Asset Class.

Asset Mix

Column Description
Asset Class Displays the five Asset Mix categories, which are Equity, Fixed Income, Alternative/Other, Cash or Cash Equivalent, and Hybrid/Multi-Asset.
Portfolio Max % Displays the Max % value for each Asset Mix category that specifies the highest percentage of the portfolio that you do not want to go above (i.e., the upper threshold).
Portfolio Min % Displays the Min % value for each Asset Mix category that specifies the lowest percentage of the portfolio that you do not want to go below (i.e., the lower threshold).
Portfolio Target Displays the percentages for the five Asset Mix categories with respect to the overall portfolio.

Securities

NOTE: Securities (N) displays above the table. The number in the parentheses represents the number of securities included in the model.

Column Description
Asset Class/Security ID Displays sections for each of the five Asset Mix categories and lists the sleeves and securities specified for each.
Description Displays the security description.
Portfolio Max %
  • Asset Class Sleeve: Displays the Max % value for the Asset Mix category that specifies the highest percentage of the portfolio that you do not want to go above (i.e., the upper threshold).
  • Security: Displays the highest percent you do not want to go above (i.e., the upper threshold) for the security with respect to the sleeve.
Portfolio Min %
  • Asset Class Sleeve: Displays the Min % value for the Asset Mix category that specifies the lowest percentage of the portfolio that you do not want to go below (i.e., the lower threshold).
  • Security: Displays the lowest percent you do not want to go below (i.e., the lower threshold) for the security with respect to the sleeve.
Portfolio Target
  • Asset Class Sleeve: Displays the target percentage for the Asset Mix category with respect to the overall portfolio.
  • Security: Displays the target percentage of the security with respect to the sleeve.
Sleeve Target
  • Asset Class Sleeve: Displays the target percentage for the Asset Mix category with respect to the overall portfolio.
  • Security: Displays the target percentage for the security with respect to the sleeve.
