Overview

View the accounts included in the current client's profile. The list can include accounts across all account sources, such as Fidelity Brokerage, Fidelity Non-Brokerage, and National Financial Services LLC (NFS), as well as accounts received from third parties. However, only the accounts you are authorized to access display.

Sort the list of accounts by selecting a column header. This manual sorting is not saved when you leave the window. You can, however, establish a default setting for sorting accounts. (Customize the Window)

You can also re-position a column by dragging and dropping its column header. This manual re-ordering of columns is not saved when you leave the window.

Shortcut Menu

A shortcut menu displays when you right-click a row. Choices enable you to copy and then paste content into other applications. When you copy a single row or multiple rows, column headers are included with the row information.

Group Accounts

Grouping enables you to organize accounts into pre-defined groups, and then view subtotals within the group. For example, group accounts by Registration, which stacks accounts beneath each registration available in the client. Subtotals display for Total Account Value, Cash Securities MV, and Core Sweep/Fund (assuming you include these columns in the display).

By default, accounts are grouped by Primary Account Holder. You can also choose your own default for grouping accounts. (Customize the Window)

To group accounts

  1. From Group By, select an option:

  2. To expand or collapse all groups, below the table, select Expand All or Collapse All.

Hide Closed Accounts

Prevent closed accounts from displaying within a client's list of accounts. This hides closed accounts; this does not delete closed accounts. Toggle between showing closed accounts and hiding them. By default, closed accounts are shown. You can choose your own default setting for hiding closed accounts. (Customize the Window)

Closed accounts are identified as:

When you hide closed accounts, the values of those accounts are not included in the sub totals that display in the Total Account Value, Cash Securities MV, and Core Sweep/Fund columns when grouping accounts. (Group Accounts)

To hide or show closed accounts

Above the list of accounts, do the following:

- To hide closed accounts, select Hide closed accounts.
- To show closed accounts, clear Hide closed accounts.

Customize the Window

Choose settings that control the display of accounts when accessing the Client Summary window. These settings are persistent – meaning they are saved when you leave Client Summary.

To customize the window

Above the list of accounts, select the Customize (gear) icon. The following tabs display. Note that each tab has its own Reset link to return your settings back to their system defaults, if needed.

Navigate to Account Information

Access further information for a listed account.

To navigate to account information

  1. In the Account # column, select an account number.
  2. Select an option from the menu.

    - A menu of options displays.
    - The availability of options is based on your user entitlements.

  3. To return to Client Summary, select the arrow (Return to Client) icon on the left side of the Account Cartridge.

Account #

The account number.

  • A "P" icon denotes the client's primary contact.
  • The first column remains stationary as you scroll to the right so you can keep it in context with the rest of the display.
Account Establishment Date The date on which the account was set up and approved; format is DD-MM-YYYY.
Account Source

The source of the account - either Fidelity (brokerage or non-brokerage) or other (third party):

Account Tax Status

The tax status of the account:

Additional Party The name of another individual associated with the account, in last name, first name format (e.g., Child for 529 Plans, Beneficiary for Non Prototype Trusts), if applicable.
Agency The code of the agency associated with the account.
AMA Level The Asset Movement Authorization level the account holder has given to the advisor to initiate certain types of cashiering operations on the account holder's behalf without further paperwork requirements by Fidelity. (Asset Movement Authorization Levels)
Cash & Margin Avail to Trade The maximum dollar amount available, including both cash and margin, to purchase marginable securities without adding money to the account. The balance includes intraday trade executions, and money movement into and out of the account. The balance also includes cash held in the core account and all committed open buy trades.
Cash & Margin Avail to Withdraw The amount collected and available for immediate withdrawal. This balance includes Core Sweep/Fund, other Fidelity Money Market funds held in the account, and the available SMA in the margin account. This balance does not include deposits that have not cleared. Proceeds from sell orders are reflected in this balance on settlement date.
Cash Avail. to Trade The dollar amount available to purchase securities in the cash account. This amount includes the core account plus cash credits in the account. It does not include margin cash available or non-core money market funds. All buy trades are debited and all sell trades are credited from this balance as soon as the trade executes, not when the trade settles. Also includes all committed open buy trades.
Cash Avail. to Withdraw

The amount collected and available for immediate withdrawal:

Settlement Day Cash (Core Sweep/Fund ± Settling Cash) ± Pending Checks ± Intraday Deposits

Cash Credit/Debit The trade date credit or debit balance in the cash account.
Cash Securities MV The market value of all securities held in the cash account.
Comm. Disc. % The percentage commission discount that the account is eligible to receive, if applicable.
Commission Type The security types in which the account trades are eligible for a commission discount, if applicable.
Core Sweep/Fund The cash credit balance held in the core account as of the close of the previous business day. This balance is held until the end-customer either invests or withdraws it. As transactions settle, this account is debited or credited.
Core Sweep/Fund Symbol The symbol of the core account investment vehicle.
Cost Basis Disposal Method For Fidelity brokerage and trust accounts
The selected cost basis disposal method for the account. The disposal method is the account's default method to choose lots to sell if lots were not specified during entry. (Cost Basis Disposal Methods)
Custodian The name of the custodian or financial institution that has the legal responsibility for the account, when known.
Custom Field 01-10 Up to 10 custom fields used by the firm, such as Custom 01: Retirement Goal. These fields are defined by your firm's administrator.
Custom Short Name The user-defined short name used as an abbreviation for the full registration name. (Set Short Name Display)
FBSI Short Name For brokerage accounts
The Fidelity-defined short name of the primary account holder.
Fidelity.com Analysis (GPS)

Indicates whether performance data for the account is shown on the Analysis tab in Fidelity.com:

International

Indicates whether the account is set up for international trading:

Mailing State The two character abbreviation of the state in which the primary account holder resides. This is the state associated with the legal mailing address.
Managed Account Fidelity brokerage and trust accounts

Margin Credit/Debit The market value of the credits and debits in the margin account. This amount includes the value of assets denominated in non-U.S. currencies.
Margin Securities MV The market values of all securities in the long margin account (type 2).
MMKT Acct Designation Indicates if the account is designated as a Retail or Institutional account.
Model Name The model assigned to the account in Wealthscape Portfolio Modeling & Rebalancing, if applicable. If model conflicts exist for the account, Model Name displays "INVALID ASSIGNMENT (Model Conflict)." Open Portfolio Modeling & Rebalancing and use the Resolve Model Conflict window to resolve the conflict.
Non-Core Money Market The total market value of eligible Money Market Funds held in an account as a non-core investment position. These balances can be systematically redeemed to cover cash and margin obligations.
Objective The account's top ranked investment objective that profiles its risk tolerance, such as growth, income.
Option Level The level of options trading if the account is approved to trade options. (Option Levels)

Indicates whether the account has a Prime Broker agreement on file with Fidelity:

Proceeds From Sales

For Fidelity brokerage and trust accounts
The instructions that specify what to do with the cash proceeds of a security sale:

Remit Proceeds (1)
Proceeds less than $25 remain in the account. Proceeds between $25-$10,000 are automatically sent by check to the name and mailing address of record. Proceeds greater than $10,000, which are a result of trade-related activity, are automatically remitted to the customer.
Hold Proceeds (2)
Proceeds held in the designated interest-bearing core account. Retirement accounts must have instructions set to Hold Proceeds.
DVP/RVP (3)
Proceeds delivered according to delivery instructions.
Autosweep (8)
(NFS accounts) Sweeps proceeds to an identically registered bank account the end-customer owns with the bank-affiliated firm.
EFT/Link (9)
Sweeps proceeds from a brokerage account to an identically registered bank account using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) instructions.

Product Level The description of the product offering in which the account participates followed by the two-character code in parentheses, such as Brokerage Access (51).
Registration The registration of the account followed by the code in parentheses, such as Individual (I) or Trust-Under Agreement (TRUA).
Restrictions For brokerage accounts
A Restrictions icon displays if brokerage (Fidelity-imposed) or trade (client-defined) restrictions are added on the account. Select the icon to view these restrictions.
RR1 The three-character code of the registered representative (RR1) assigned to the account.
RR2 The three-character code of the registered representative (RR2) assigned to the account.
Schedule Code The two-digit code that identifies the commission schedule used to calculate commissions for the account, if developed for your firm. If you do not have a schedule, the system uses the default commission schedule.
Security Purchases

Fidelity brokerage and trust accounts
The instructions that specify what to do with the physical securities when they are purchased in the account:

Settled Cash The amount of settled cash (cash in a final state) in the brokerage account. This value includes Core Sweep/Fund, but is less the value of executed buys (in order to avoid good faith violations).
SSN/TIN (Last 4 Digits) The last four digits of the primary account holder's Social Security number or tax identification number.
Total Account Value The total assets minus total liabilities of an account, as of the close of the previous business day. This amount includes the net market value of all positions held long or short in the account minus outstanding debit balance, amounts required to cover short option positions that are in-the-money, and the total amount of securities loaned to the account, if entitled.
Trust Services Indicates whether the account is part of the Administrative Trustee Services program and Fidelity Reporting Services product.
Unsettled Cash Credit The amount of unsettled cash (cash in an interim state) in the brokerage account that is credited to the Core Sweep/Fund when the trades settle. A positive sign (+) denotes the credit. The intraday settling amount is reflected in the Settled Cash field.
Unsettled Cash Debit The amount of unsettled cash (cash in an interim state) in the brokerage account that is debited from the Core Sweep/Fund when the trades settle. A negative sign (-) denotes the debit. The intraday settling amount is reflected in the Settled Cash field.
