Security Cross Reference - Edit Quantity

Overview

NOTE: You can display the Edit Quantity pop-up screen by selecting the Edit Quantity button below the Positions and Proposed Order List or by right-clicking one or more entries in the list and selecting Edit Quantity in the shortcut menu that displays.

You may edit the quantity of a proposed order(s) in the Positions and Proposed Order List.

Editing Quantity

NOTE: Select the Cancel without making changes link to ignore any edits to the Quantity field and close the pop-up screen.

  1. Highlight one or more entries in the Positions and Proposed Order List.
  2. Select the Edit Quantity button in the Order Handling section below the list or right-click within the highlighted entries and select Edit Quantity in the shortcut menu. The Edit Quantity pop-up screen displays. NOTE: If the Quantity field is zero (0), the Edit Quantity and Set Quantity to Zero entries in the right-click menu do not activate. However, if activated, you can select Set Quantity to Zero from the right-click shortcut menu to exclude the highlighted entry (entries) from generating an order (since the Quantity is zero); this action impacts the selected row(s) only. A pop-up warning screen displays informing you this action cannot be undone. Select the OK button to proceed or select the Cancel button to close the pop-up and return to the Positions and Proposed Order List.
  3. If you selected one entry in the list, the Quantity field populates with the value in its Quantity column. If you selected more than one entry in the list, the Quantity field defaults to 0. NOTE: The frame of reference or label of this field varies based on the type of security: Shares for equities and mutual funds or Contracts for options.
  4. Enter the revised value in the Quantity field.
  5. Select the Save button that activates when you type within the Quantity field to save your modification, close the Edit Quantity pop-up screen, and revise the associated Quantity column entry or entries.
